Saturday July 18th: Visited the Crawley Play Service event at St Catherine’s Hospice – a fantastic fundraising event.
Sunday July 19th: Attended the official opening of the newly renovated Worth Park Gardens Victorian fountain. Works were enabled to due to funding from Heritage Lottery.
Monday July 20th: Welcomed the latest local unemployment statistics (youth and all ages) which have decreased to 1.6% - great news but still more to do.
Tuesday July 21st: On the floor of the House I asked the Secretary of State for Defence about the discussions he has had with our Middle-East allies over defeating Daesh.
Wednesday July 22nd: Pleased to support the Credit Unions All Part Parliamentary Campaign. This aims to increase union membership by two million people by 2020. These community organisations are a useful source of affordable credit and safe deposits.
Thursday July 23rd: Pleased to welcome to new, state of the art, Scania P320-CP21, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Engine to Crawley Fire Station.
Friday July 24th: Held my regular Advice Bureau to assist local residents and businesses with any issues they may face.
