Crawley has won the Silver Gilt in the Small City category at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom National Awards for 2012. RHS Britain in Bloom is the biggest voluntary campaign in the UK and works to improve people’s lives through community gardening.
Commenting on the Award, local MP, Henry Smith, commented:
“Once again, I’m delighted that the hard work and pride of Crawley residents has been recognised by Britain in Bloom.
“The community spirit that is generated as a result of peoples’ commitment to beautifying our town is something I am proud of, both as a resident and elected representative.”
