Henry Smith MP and his beagle Frisbee took part in the Westminster Dog of the Year Show last Thursday, 29th October.
Henry said;
“While Frisbee and I were disappointed not to win, we did have a great time at the Westminster Dog of the Year Show – Frisbee certainly had fun meeting other dogs end enjoyed her first time in London. I was a little worried but she was a good girl and didn’t pee on the office carpet!
“Of course, there’s a serious side to this event, we were all there to support the Kennel Club and the Dogs Trust, in their ongoing work to raise awareness of the importance of the protection of dogs.
“As Co-Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare, I will continue to campaign on these issues, especially ahead of the Group’s Dogs in Society conference in Westminster on 25th November. This event will bring together key stakeholders to discuss the issues concerning dogs, and identify meaningful ways we can work together to improve dog health and welfare.”
