Local Charity, Look Sussex, has been successful in their Big Lottery funding bid and has been awarded £3,380.
Welcoming the news, local MP Henry Smith said:
“I’m delighted that this local community action project has been acknowledged for its dedicated work with lottery funds.
“Local Sussex will use the funding to set up a fortnightly youth club for young people with visual impairment. This will reduce their isolation by enabling them to maintain their contact and friendships with other young people with visual impairment, and increase their confidence.
“I encourage local voluntary groups to bid as support is out there and waiting. I’m always happy to help them make the right connection with the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of Crawley charities.”
