Saturday September 19th: Thanked the staff and volunteers at the Crawley Furniture and Electrical charity shop of the British Heart Foundation. The continued hard work of these individuals helps raise vital funds to help combat heart related diseases through important research projects.
Monday September 21st: Met with the leadership of Crawley Borough Council to discuss future housing and business planning.
Tuesday September 22nd: In Parliament to support the First Aid In School’s Campaign, which aims to have this vital skill taught in every state funded secondary school in England. The campaign is being headed by the British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross and St John Ambulance. For more information please visit www.everychildalifesaver.org
Wednesday September 23rd: Visited the Head Office of Evans Cycles which employs over 1300 people in over 60 stores nationwide. The warehouse in James Watt Way is particularly impressive.
Thursday September 24th: Delighted to visit residents of Randall Schofield Court, in Three Bridges, after being invited to their coffee morning. Fascinated to hear stories of Crawley’s early days as a New Town.
Friday September 25th: Always a pleasure to meet with local Hazelwick School students, whom were visiting the Houses of Parliament today. It never ceases to amaze me the level of enthusiasm demonstrated by our town’s youth.
