Saturday December 12th: Pleased to attend Crawley’s Olive Tree cancer support Christmas Fair at The Royal Oak in Ifield. Olive Tree provides a range of services from the point of diagnosis.
Monday December 14th: Supported the Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government at DCLG questions in my role as Parliamentary Private Secretary.
Tuesday December 15th: Discussed the matter of airline air intake contamination of flight crew in Parliament and am pleased that the Department for Transport has started to recognise there is a problem. Many Crawley residents are employed as cabin crew and I will continue highlighting this issue.
Liaised with Crawley based producer The Real Pie Company in Parliament. It is pleasing that they are expanding their business which will further create jobs.
Wednesday December 16th: Welcomed a further fall in Crawley youth unemployment claimants to 1.6%. Total unemployment in Crawley stands at 1.5%. As I always say, there is more to do.
Spoke in the House to welcome the efforts of our Kurdish allies in their continued fight against Daesh, supported by the RAF.
Thursday December 17th: Finalised sending responses to residents whom signed my Fair School Funding petition. Thank you once again for everybody that supported this.
