Monday February 22nd: Welcomed the Prime Minister confirming to the House of Commons that there will be a referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union on 23rd June 2016. I will be voting to Leave.
Tuesday February 23rd: Productive meeting with ‘Which?’ Magazine and their work supporting rail commuters. More needs to be done to help passengers claiming compensation when journeys are delayed.
Wednesday February 24th: Met with Lord Addington about an upcoming campaign to support teachers whose pupils have special educational needs and disabilities.
Thursday February 25th: At Virgin Atlantic HQ welcoming their award of £20,000 to the Springboard Project. Springboard help children and young people in Crawley and Horsham, and facilities are used by disabled children as well as being open for public access for families with children to use during the week.
Visited Thales UK in Manor Royal to meet graduates working on their sustainable electric vehicles project.
Friday February 26th: Meeting constituents at my MP Advice Bureau discussing issues ranging from support for small businesses, to community projects.
