Saturday February 27th: Welcomed the Environment Secretary to view Crawley Council’s tree destruction in Tilgate. Nationally the Government are ensuring 11 million trees are planted across the country by 2020.
Monday February 29th: On Rare Disease Day I support an improved voice for patients of more than 6,000 rare diseases, which affect more than 3.5 million people in the UK.
Tuesday March 1st: Welcome the extension of funding for the National Wildlife Crime Unit, which will total more than £1.2 million.
Wednesday March 2nd: Welcomed Louis and his mum to Westminster – my congratulations to him for reaching the final of the Voice Box joke competition for the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. .
Met with Govia Thameslink Rail executives in Westminster. I am pleased to support a campaign from ‘Which?’ to help commuters who deserve compensation due to delays.
Thursday March 3rd: Asked the Leader of the Commons for a debate on the abuse of company law, following a Crawley sub-standard building firm that, when challenged, liquidates itself before reforming.
Friday March 4th: Supporting the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance’s annual Easter Egg Appeal for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice – please donate if you can.
