Saturday March 19th: Honoured to present the courage prize to Rob Groves at the Crawley Community Champions Awards. Mr Groves has overcome adversity to become an accomplished hand cyclist.
Sunday March 20th: I took part in the Epsom Downs to Brighton Sunbeam Pioneer Motorcycle Run – it’s always interesting passing through Crawley riding a 1914 Douglas!
Monday March 21st: Joined the Prime Minister on supporting NATO action to intercept traffickers abusing the Syrian people fleeing conflict in the Middle East.
Tuesday March 22nd: Horrified to learn of the atrocious attacks in Brussels today. My thoughts are with all those affected by this barbaric attack.
On the floor of the House I asked the Health Secretary to join me in praising NHS Staff in Crawley for the hard work on delivering the new services available in Crawley Hospital. Recent years have seen the introduction of a GP out-of-hours service and an increase in bed space.
Wednesday March 23rd: At 11am, alongside many of my peers, I observed a 1 minute silence to honour those lost in the Terror attacks in Brussels yesterday.
I sought assurances from the Home Secretary that, following the attacks in Belgium, there would be an increase in Gatwick Airport UK Border Presence.
Joined with Parliamentarians whom are all supporting a vote to leave the European Union on June 23rd. Looking forward to taking part in the Crawley Vote Leave stall on Saturday in Queens Square.
Thursday March 24th: Pleased to welcome new figures that show the Help to Buy Scheme has assisted 22,136 people in the South East as of 31 December 2015. This scheme allows people to obtain an affordable mortgage with just a 5% deposit.
